First things first my Lamborghini drive; so this was something I've alway wanted, this beautiful car has always been a dream of mine, even when I was a little girl I wanted either a limousine or a yellow Lamborghini, dream big I guess :), so my last birthday my generous husband gave my a 15 minute experience in a Yellow Lamborghini Gallardo with a photo shoot, at Arthur's Seat, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. I got all dressed up for my photo shoot, and headed off very excited, on arrival I must admit I was slightly disappointed to see the doors opened like any other car, all I wanted was for them to open upwards, silly I know. It is a beautiful car both aesthetically and acoustically, we left on our 15 min drive which only gives you the desire to go further and longer, since it was on street we had to do the speed limit (highest being 100), which was fine when he put his foot down feeling the acceleration of the car, but will certainly need to be off street next time. Once we returned I had my photo shoot and left.
Secondly Peninula Hot Springs, since I work in the spa industry, I have made it a bit of a mission to go & experience as many spa's as possible especially "the biggest & the best" my experience is in 5star venues, so I am aware I have VERY high standards. We began our experience early in the morning to take advantage of the mid week early morning discount on public bathing, it only cost $15pp, the set up was incredible they are extremely lucky to have natural geothermal springs, heated to somewhere between 34deg - 42deg deepening on the pool. The earth provides us with so truly incredible natural resources. We spent about 2.5hrs in the water, the most tiring part was looking after our friends twin one year old boys, who were incredibly cute but all they wanted was for us to pull them through the water as if swimming, we were really doing all the work :). We went home before Sara & I went back for our 45min massages, Sara had a relaxation massage & I had a kodo massage which is aboriginal inspired, using australian oils and a smoking ceramony prior to the treatment, which smelt to me of a bush fire, here was my disappointment, I did not notice any real difference from a relaxation massage, other than that it was an overall good treatment.
Lastly our trip to Hanging Rock 13/03/13. We decided to spend some time outdoors to get a break from everyday stresses. When we arrived at the entrance we noticed a gate and a sign posted with entry fees, $10 per car, we decided to go in & pay the fee since we had already traveled there, we had packed a picnic lunch so we ate & headed to the summit, it is a beautiful view on the way up & at the summit. We didn't spend much time there, it was quite a warm day being 22 degrees celcius, so we headed back down and left for the 1.5hr drive home back to the Yarra Valley.
Thanks for taking the time to read my first ever blog. Sarah.
